CSO Chorus

The CSO Chorus is a talented group of auditioned, volunteer singers from the greater Charleston area. As an affiliate of the CSO, the Chorus has provided the choral component for choral masterworks concerts for the City of Charleston for more than 30 years.

CSO Gospel Choir

The CSO Gospel Choir, one of Charleston’s most culturally diverse choirs, performs gospel, spiritual and sacred music for annual concerts. Under the direction of Sandra Barnhardt, this dynamic 80 member choir focuses on the power of music to cross cultural boundaries.

CSO Spiritual Ensemble

This newly formed ensemble is the sister organization of the CSO Gospel Choir. This ensemble strives to honor the musical traditions that African American slaves formed after arriving in this country, with a particular focus on the relevant history of the South Carolina Lowcountry.

CSO League

The CSO League is a group of dedicated volunteers whose purpose is to support the CSO. For more than 40 years, this organization has fulfilled this purpose through educational programs, audience development, and fundraising projects.
