BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, THIS CONCERT IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR MORE MATURE YOUNG AUDIENCES IN GRADES 6-12


Middle and high school students will hear standard orchestral repertoire played by the professionals of the CSO along with brand new music composed by students who participated in the CSO's Composition & Critique program. The concert is approximately 50 minutes in length.

Beethoven: Egmont Overture (9 minutes)

Barber: Adagio (abbreviated, 5 minutes)

New premiere by local composer from Composition & Critique program (5 minutes)

Saint-Saëns: Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso, Op.28 (10 minutes)
Featuring the Grand Prize winner of the 2016 National Young Artist Competition, 15-year-old violinist from Seattle, WA, Adrian Steele

Bernstein: On the Town- 3 Dance Episodes

The Great Lover (2 minutes)

Lonely Town (Pas de deux) (4 minutes)

Times Square: 1944 (5 minutes)
